What a spectacular color show that autumn provides! And, for outdoor photographers, such splendid scenery means making use of all of our creative skills.
For example, lens focal lengths from wide to telephoto to even macro should get a workout, in order to capture everything from grand landscapes to intimate close-ups. You'll want to vary your formats too - i.e., experiment with both horizontal and vertical framing. And, as the photo below proves, panoramic fall foliage pictures make special images too.
