There is an old saying that "if your photos are not interesting enough, you are not close enough". If your photos are becoming a bit boring, try coming in much closer than you are used to. Very often reframing your subject in a not-so-standard manner - by moving or zooming in tighter - can create some dynamics that might be missing in your images.
